How to install live monitoring

Welcome to the free service installation of your own CCTV surveillance.

Step 1. Hardware

Please make sure you have the following equipment:
1. USB camera (webcam) or another camera (DV, IP, VHS) that can connect to a PC.

Connection can be done using one of the following interfaces:

a) USB cable - for most webcams
b) Firewire cable (also known as IEEE-1394) - For most DV camcorders, miniDV
c) AV cable with the video card (video tuner) - for most of the older VHS camcorder

 

2. A PC running Microsoft Windows - supported versions are 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, win7
